A self-named crazy Guinea pig lady from Lincoln is looking to turn her hobby into a proper rescue mission.

Sophie from Masons' Cavies has 88 of them.

She started with just a few as pets, but started adopting more and more that were in need.

Sophie now wants to take things even further, by becoming an official sanctuary.

"We've seen some horrific things.

"It gives you such a sense of pride to see these Guinea pigs come in in such an awful state and be able to nurse them back to health and see their confidence grown."

She says it's something that needs to be done.

"People don't hold them to the same standard as a cat or a dog, but they do need help.
