Lincoln City are looking to pull off a shock in the league cup tonight as they head to Premier League Southampton.

It'll will see the Imps compete in the fourth round of the competition for the first time since the 1960’s.

A place in the quarter finals is up for grabs with around 1,500 Imps supporters heading to the south coast for the game.

We spoke to Head Coach Mark Kennedy ahead of the match:

"Really proud of the team, I think they really deserve it. We've had three tough away games, but we've scored a lot of goals along the way, we've had penalty shootouts. There's been lots of fun and excitement on the way.

"We're positive, we go into every game believing we can win. We've had some big wins this year and we've had some games where we were expecting to win and we didn't win. That's football."

Supporter Liason Officer Andy Long says he's excited for the match:

"We're expecting a fantastic atmosphere. There's hundreds of fans expecting to make it down there which is fantastic given it's Christmas week.

"I'm feeling positive about the game. It's not very often you get to see your side play in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup, everybody's excited".

Kick off is 19.45
