We can reveal that just under half of people claiming Universal Credit across Lincolnshire and Newark are in work.

The latest figures from July show more than 46,000 have a job and will still be impacted by the end of the £20 weekly top up.

That's 43% of those claiming.

Irene Davis from Agape foodbank in Spalding is preparing from a possible rise in users.

"We've already seen the numbers increase over the last couple of months and I suspect it will continue to increase.

"We've had fantastic support through the Covid period with absolutely fantastic donations and we've managed to eek that out.

"If there was a flood of people, that might be different, but if it gradually increases we can sustain that adequately."
