One of the Imps on Lincoln's Imp Trail is getting a replacement after it was vandalised last week.
The Community Imp was cut in half on Wednesday morning and has since been taken away for repair.
A man has been charged in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile Lincoln BIG (business investment group) held a poll on twitter to decide on a temporary substitute - with a Red Imp winning the vote.
Lincoln BIG's Chief Executive Sarah said:
“We are delighted that the vandalised Imp can be repaired after all the time and hard work that went into it and we’re hoping to have it returned to the trail ASAP!
In the meantime, it was great to see the community responded to our poll and get involved with the decision making process for the temporary replacement. The Red Imp just beat the Imp Trail Selfie Sign and so we will hopefully have it out by the end of the week in preparation for the weekend!”
