Hundreds of people are gathering in Lincoln tonight in memory of those they have lost.

The St Barnabas Torchlight Procession starts on Lee Road and finishes at the Cathedral.

It is the 21st event to take place, after last years was cancelled due to Covid-19.

Caroline Swindin from the charity said it is an opportunity for people to come together to reflect and remember loved ones who are no longer with them.

"It's a really poignant time to do it as we head towards the Christmas period, so we're really delighted that this is back.

"We recognise that many people have been, particularly over the last year, dealing with the loss of a loved on in quite an isolated way.

"This is an opportunity for them to come back together and reflect and remember their special loved one."

Due to Covid-19 there's a limit on how many people can take part and registration has now closed. Instead the event can be watched online and on social media.
