Officers have been carrying on their investigations to target drug related crime as part of Operation Galaxy.

On Tuesday, 23rd May, a 34 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the supply of Class B drugs following a warrant served at an address in East Hull.

Sergeant Joanna Clark was leading the raid, she said: “

“It is our aim to disrupt these criminals to remove drugs from our streets.

“Our action against these offenders and drug gangs remains ongoing and I want to thank the members of the public who have provided us with information so far.”

Humberside Police are now appealing for people to come forward if they spot suspicious drug related activity.

Joanna added,

“If you are concerned about drug related crime in your area, speak to your local team or call our non-emergency 101 line. If you’d rather not give your name, you can call Crimestoppers.”

Jo says drug dealing is operating on a large scale across the region.

Last Wednesday, officers issued a misuse of drugs act warrant on Duncombe Street in Grimsby where a woman was charged at a later date with possession of heroin.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Claire Jacobs said:

“We understand there is a lot more to do in the area and that this isn’t going to happen overnight, but we are absolutely dedicated to working with the local community and partners to make it a safer place to live, work and play for everyone.”
