Huge crowds expected for the Spalding Flower Parade
Last year it returned to the town after a 10 year gap
Thousands of people from across the country are expected to head to the Spalding Flower Parade.
It's now the second year since it was brought back after a decade long gap.
The parade starts at 11am.
It's an almost three mile long route for the parade - which will see brightly decorated floats and vehicles head through the town.
Following the Parade they will returning to the Castle Sports ground.
Steve Timewell is the event organiser:
"You can't compare it to last year - it's twice as big for a start.
"We've ordered the sun and we've got two Spitfires flying over at 11.28 which is something to look forward to, but it's going to be amazing.
"With the parade my highlight is just seeing how the community pulls together.
"Every single thing I've asked for I've got tenfold over within minutes. The community just gives and gives and gives."
The history of the Spalding Flower Parade dates back to the 1920s, and when the Jubilee in 1935 of King George V and Queen Mary coincided with the tulip crop, the event became huge.
The event relies on volunteers to help create the floats. There are a number of events following the parade including charity stalls and entertainment, which will continue on Sunday 12th May.
The floats incorporate fresh and artificial tulips.
