People are being evacuated from parts of Newark this afternoon as home and properties are at risk of flooding. It's due to heavy rainfall that many parts of the country have experienced this week as part of Storm Henk.
A major incident has been declared in Nottinghamshire because of rising water levels along the River Trent.
Four properties were evacuated at nearby Collingham this morning by Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue teams.
By Newark Castle there's water covering what was a park full of walkways and grass.
There’s benches underwater with just the tops sticking out and signs have been placed to warn people to avoid getting too close.
Tolney Lane is being evacuated due to the risk of flooding.
Ken Button works at Kirk and Bill's, a furniture workshop in Farndon Road, Newark.
Water has risen up through the floorboards and drains due to flooding caused by Storm Henk, submerging the workshop.
Mr Button has been pumping water out on Friday, after a major incident was declared along the River Trent in Nottinghamshire, which runs near to the workshop.
He said: "This is the second time I can ever remember it happening.
"The last time was around 2000, and the building is well over 100 years old, and it hasn't been a problem in the past, but for some reason or other it is now, which is presumably a sign of climate change.
"It's been a terrible start to the new year. We'll have to see what we can salvage. I suppose the long-term solution is to raise the floor up, but at a cost."
Other homes and businesses in the surrounding area have already been devastated by the water and there are a number of flood warnings still in place here and across parts of Lincolnshire.
