The Mariners are away at Wrexham

It's another huge match ahead for Grimsby Town this afternoon as they take on Wrexham in the playoff semi finals.

A win would see them make the finals - moving a step closer to get into League 2.

On Monday night the Mariners made a dramatic comeback as they played Notts County.

The Mariners were 1 -0 down deep into injury time at when they equalised through Gavan Holohan.

Then when it looked like the game was heading for penalties Emmanuel Dieseruvwe scored a late winner to make it 2-1 to Grimsby Town.

We spoke to manager Paul Hurst ahead of the match - he said;

"After the game they were obviously really high, excited. We aren't getting too uptight about the games more focused on getting ready for the next match. We're looking forward to it.

"We had a couple of lads that came off and were struggling after the game. We've got a couple of concerns ahead of the match. But whatever players get the chance to play then we'll give it our best."

and he spoke about playing Wrexham:

"It's a massive challenge ahead. The winner whoever it is does get then just over a week to prepare for one last game of the season. We'd be delighted if that's us"

Meanwhile Grimsby Town say they're not able to get the relevant permission to broadcast todays Play-Off Semi-Final at Blundell Park.

A statement on the Mariners website says they've done everything they can to make it happen but it just isn't possible.
