A man's been given a three year football banning order after he punched another man as fans left the ground of a Grimsby Town and Bradford match back in October 2022.

Lee Sanderson aged 49 from Scartho Road Grimsby pleaded guilty to a public order offence. He attended Grimsby Magistrates Court last week on the 6th January.

He was also order to pay a fine.

Dedicated football officer PC Blow said:

“Football should be an opportunity for people to come together to support their team, and anyone who looks to disrupt or ruin that will be dealt with robustly and have to face the consequences of their actions.

”Sanderson was also ordered to pay fines of £120 and a victim surcharge of £48."
