Fundraisers behind plans to get a stained glass window for Scampton Church are now facing a much bigger problem.

After working tirelessly to raise £23,000 for the display, they're now looking to save the church itself.

It's been placed on the English Heritage 'At Risk' Register because of damp.

Project coordinator Joe Bartrop says it's linked to an airbase full of Lincolnshire history.

"There was a roof leak as well.

"English Heritage put the church on their ‘At Risk Register’ which means that the condition of the church is what they describe as poor.

So we started this campaign, straight off the back of the window campaign, to try and save this 14th century Grade 2 star listed church."
