Lincolnshire RAF military personnel have marched through Lincoln for the Freedom of the City Parade.

Around 150 RAF Waddington personnel made their way down Lincoln High Street, in an organised and synchronised march.

They started at St Martin's Square down the High Street to the War Memorial.

It’s part of an honour that’s been taking place since 1959.

The event is to celebrate the city’s strong ties with the Royal Air Force.

And to conclude the parade today the Town Crier dedicated a cry to the air base.

People came along to watch the parade despite the rainy weather.

Flight Sergeant Dave Rice - Drill and ceremonial lead told us how it went:

"It's always amazing - the city of Lincoln is always welcoming the people are amazing.

"Great support, and to march down here with our bayonets fixed, flags flying, drums beating is one of the highlights of the year".
