Former Humberside Police Inspector charged with sexual offences
An investigation started in July 2024 when information was received of suspected offending
Former Humberside Police Inspector Ian Walpole has been charged today (Friday, 16th May) with causing the sexual exploitation of a child under 13 and three counts of making indecent photographs of children.
Humberside Police say an investigation commenced in July 2024 when information was received of suspected offending.
He was immediately arrested and suspended whilst the criminal investigation commenced and has been bailed to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 22nd May.
Humberside Police said:
"To protect the integrity of the investigation and to not jeopardise the court process, further comment will only be made on conclusion of criminal proceedings."
