Filming takes place for new movie at Lincoln Cathedral

It's for for the Ridley Scott movie 'Napoleon'

It's a case of "lights, camera, action" in Lincoln today as filming takes place on a new movie in the shadow of the Cathedral.

Several hundred cast and crew members are on hand for the scenes,

The film is "Napoleon" and highly respected director Ridley Scott is in the chair for it.

Filming will continue over the next few days.

It will mean some disruption to traffic and pedestrians.

Here's what Lincolnshire County Council has said:

Minster Yard will be closed for the duration of the production until March 19.

In addition, parking bays along Eastgate will also be suspended until March 24

There is disruption expected along Eastgate due to the parking suspensions and although Greeston Place will be open as usual, there could be some added disruption along that road too.

Filming: This will happen on Thursday March 17 from 07.00 to 19.00 and Friday March 18 from 07.00 to 19.00.

Reinstatement: Putting everything back to the way it was, will happen from Saturday March 19 to Thursday March 24 from 07.00 to 19.00 everyday apart from Sunday when there will be no restrictions
