The family of murder victim Olive Wilkinson have released a new photo of her that has not been seen before.

36-year-old Olive was found with fatal injuries inside her family home on Montague Street in Cleethorpes back in 1983.

Police launched an investigation at the time but the case remained unsolved.

After receiving fresh information in connection with her death, the investigation was relaunched - and now a number of new lines of inquiry are being looked into.

Detectives say a man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

Updating on the investigation Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Amy Keane-Christie said:

“Over the course of the last eight days, my team of specialist trained detectives have been continuing to progress the investigation.

“As a part of that work, I am pleased that following our renewed appeal for information and at the conclusion of our searches, a number of new lines of enquiry are now being explored in connection with Olive’s murder.

“Whilst these are ongoing, I hope the release of Olive’s photo may help people remember her. I would still appeal to anybody who has any information, no matter how small, that thinks it may assist our investigation in some way, to please get in touch with us”.
