Excitement's building ahead of Lincoln City's league cup clash with Premier League West Ham
The Imps are hoping to pull off another shock after knocking out Sheffield United.
A capacity crowd's expected at Lincoln City as they take on Premiership West Ham in the league cup.
Thousands of Imps fans will descend on the LNER stadium hoping to raise the roof and inspire their team to victory.
It follows their penalty shootout win over Sheffield United in the last round.
Head coach Mark Kennedy says it's all about mentality:
"I say to the players all the time, if you don't feel it you can affect the game in a negative way, stay in sight. So, we've had too many games, we've been together too long, where we've proved time and time again that we're a match for anybody. So, do we believe we can do it? 100%.
"I always enjoy those games that are played in smaller stadiums, where you can feel the impact the crowd have and the affect they have on the game, it's magic, home or away, so it should be a really buoyant night.
He added that the fans and crowds mean a lot to the team:
"To have such a persistent and positive crowd, it's huge. I think in 2023 we've got one of the best home records in the country, in all of the league, and part of it is because of we're very good at what we do, but a huge part of it is because of the fans."
Centre-back and Captain Paudie O'Connor admits it will be a difficult game:
"It'll be a tough game but I think one that we'll, no doubt, enjoy, and we've done our homework and we've come up with a plan so hopefully we can implement that.
He added also that he's excited to play a home game:
"Bit of a wrong one there, with the Papa John's tournament last year, but the EFL Cup will be our, well my first time anyway, playing a home game so... there's always a slightly different atmosphere when it comes to the knock-out cups so I'm sure the supporters will get behind us and make it a good night."
Fans have also been expressing exciting saying:
"The atmosphere's going to be fantastic, it's going to be electric inside the LNER Stadium and not only just that, it's an opportunity for the players to embrace and really make something happen.
"For the players; embrace it, enjoy the fact that they are playing a Premier League side like West Ham... European Champions that made greater things happen, and just enjoy themselves on the pitch and play as a team, play with determination, play with fight."

"West Ham lost to Liverpool on Sunday 3-1, and will look to rest players ahead of a home tie with Sheffield United in which they will hope to get all 3 points. So, there's definitely a chance of progressing to the next round of the cup for Lincoln. I hope everyone enjoys the game and we get the result that we want."
