Delays are expected in Lincoln today as a funeral takes place at the Cathedral.

It's expected to have a very large attendance.

The procession is expected to leave Saxilby around 8.30am, and travel to Lincoln Cathedral.

It'll then make the reverse journey back to Saxilby from around 12noon.

There are likely to be delays, particularly uphill around the cathedral, in the north and on the A46 Lincoln Bypass from 8am until 3pm.

On the day, Pottergate will be closed from 7:30am to 4:30pm, or as soon as any traffic on the roads has eased.

Local diversions will be in place, and resident access will be maintained throughout the closure.
