Today marks a year since Covid-19 arrived in Lincolnshire

Today marks a year since health bosses confirmed Covid-19 had arrived in Lincolnshire.

Since then, over 38,000 people have caught Coronavirus.

More than 1,500 have died.

Collette Howe from Barton upon Humber lost her dad after he caught Covid in hospital.

"My mum was able to stay with him with PPE

"But we couldn't hold his hand or give him a hug

"It felt so impersonal"

She says the funeral was also difficult.

"The service was only half an hour long.

"There were limited people allowed in.

"There wasn't a wake.

"It's like any kind of humanity was taken away"

"I wasn't able to grieve."

Nurse Mel Kerr caught Covid-19.

She admits it spread faster than expected.

"We didn't know how it would hit us or what to expect.

"It was something we'd never faced before."
