The number of Covid patients across Lincolnshire hospitals causes concerns
Health bosses in the county have revealed their fears over the rising number of cases
The number of Covid patients in Lincolnshire hospitals is causing concern.
The latest figures show 32 are currently being treated across the county.
It comes amid fears hospitals in the county and across the country may become overwhelmed if cases increase further.
Meanwhile Lincolnshire Director of Public health Derek Ward says because of the current rate of cases he believes people need to be extra careful over the festive period.
He told us "my advice is avoid any risk - minimise any social contact".
"Just let's wait and see what we can find out about Omicron".
"If you going to socialise save it for those people who really matter, your really close loved ones ".
"Try and keep it really small - maybe meet outside".
"It's best to minimise risk because I am really concerned about this".
"I'm going to be the Grinch and say don't have your Christmas parties."
"Don't go and mix when you don't have to, save that for the summer."
