Community spirit praised after tragic deaths of Louth mum and son
Last Monday Bethany Vincent and nine-year-old Darren Henson suffered fatal stab wounds in the town
A week on since the tragic deaths of a mum and her young son in Louth and the town's community spirit is being praised in helping those affected.
Last Monday Bethany Vincent and nine-year-old Darren Henson suffered fatal stab wounds during an incident in High Holme Road.
Councillor Darren Hobson is the Mayor of Louth.
"Any loss to a community is an absolute tragedy.
"I think when it’s the deaths of a young mother and child in awful circumstances it’s understandable why it’s been profoundly felt across our usually very quiet and peaceful town.
"It’s absolutely fitting that people have come together and because Louth is a close town, as we have in the past, we will come together through this and our community will once again become stronger.
"It will hopefully be a fitting and lasting tribute to all of those that have been affected by these awful incidents."
People have also being raising money to support the family.
Rochelle Clare is behind it.
"They haven't prepared for this, they didn't expect this.
"We just want them to grieve without having to worry about money as well."
