Claims devolution deal for the Greater Lincolnshire area can still go ahead
That's despite the Government deciding not to progress with the proposal at this stage.
There's optimism a devolution deal for the whole of the greater Lincolnshire region will become reality despite the Government not giving proposals the go ahead at the moment.
It would have seen greater powers and more funding granted to the region including North and North East Lincolnshire.
There could also be a possible reduction in the number of local councils.
But ministers don't want to proceed with the plans at this stage.
