Pair jailed over Grimsby cashpoint robbery
Police condemn 'horrible attack' on a vulnerable member of the community

Two women who robbed a vulnerable woman as they withdrew money from a cashpoint in Grimsby have been sentenced to combined total of six years and two months in prison after appearing at Grimsby Crown Court.
Jill Moore, 54, of Bovill Close, Grimsby was charged with robbery following the incident and was handed three years and four months behind bars.
Rachel Parker, 48, of Woodyard Court, Grimsby was charged with robbery and was handed two years and ten months behind bars.
On Tuesday 10 May 2022, a vulnerable woman withdrew cash from a machine on Wellington Street in Grimsby before continuing her journey in the direction of Rutland Street.
The woman was followed by Moore and Parker who demanded she hand over £10 in cash, the woman declined and as she attempted to continue on her journey she was attacked by the duo sustaining injuries to her ankle, arm and back.
The pair fled the scene with £220 in cash and were subsequently arrested.
Detective Scott Jackson leading the investigation said: “This was a horrible attack on an innocent member of the public who was threatened and robbed.
“Violent crime and robbery will not be tolerated, and we will do everything we can to seek justice for victims to ensure our residents feel safe and criminals are punished.”
