It's a busy day for Care Homes across Lincolnshire and Newark as they read through Government guidance ahead of Monday, when residents will be allowed to have a regular indoor visitor.

The full guidelines only dropped yesterday afternoon meaning many are having to write up plans against the clock.

Melanie Weatherly MBE is chair of Lincolnshire Care Association.

"It is a little late but we understand they’ve been trying to get the various elements of it sorted and make sure that they’ve met everybody's rights and responsibilities.

"It’s difficult. We want to enable people to see their loved ones and have meaningful interaction, but we need to keep people safe because Covid’s not gone away yet.

"So I understand why its taken so long, but it would have been much more helpful if they'd been here at the beginning of the week"
