Campaign group consider legal action against solar farm plans on the Lincolnshire - Rutland border

The Secretary of State has already agreed to the proposals

Campaigners against plans to build a huge solar farm on the Lincolnshire / Rutland border tell us they will continue to fight

Last week the Secretary of State agreed to development consent for the Mallard Pass project.

It was claimed projects like this will help towards reaching net zero and boost economic growth.

But the action group - say the loss of agricultural land would be significant

We've spoken to Sue Holloway Chair of the Mallard Pass Action group who told us it's not yet the end of the road for them.

"In practice we still have one avenue left open to us and that is a judicial review."

"We are taking legal advice - we are looking at all the implications and ramifications of doing that."

It's absolutely huge - it stretches for miles

"It'll be both a complex and expensive process."

"We still have time - we have a 6 week deadline from the point of the Secretary of State's decision to submit a request for a judicial review."
