There are calls for Lincolnshire and Newark weddings to be treated the same as funerals when it comes to Covid restrictions.

The governments's announced it's lifting a limit of 30 people at funerals from 17th May, so long as people can safely fit in venues with social distancing

But weddings will still have the cap.

Charlotte Bennett is from Healing Mannor Hotel, a wedding venue in Grimsby, she admits its frustrating, but understands the reasoning.

"Ultimately, when it comes to a wedding it's a different type of celebration and there's often a lot of alcohol involved.

"I'm the first to put my hand up that after a glass of wine or a gin and tonic social distancing isn't at the forefront of your mind."

She'd rather hold on a bit longer so things can go back to normal, instead of risking further lockdowns.

"As someone who lost their Dad in May last year, and we weren't able to have any wake celebrations, I definitely think it's important these type of events are able to go ahead in a bigger capacity.

"It's so people can go through the grieving process."
