We're hearing that businesses on the coast of Lincolnshire are suffering from the cost of living crisis as well as bad weather this year.

It's as the summer draws to a close - with local businesses facing different challenges this year.

Mitchell Powley is the Manager of Skegness Pleasure Beach theme park and tells us how things have been for them:

"It's been a bit of a slow start, mainly due to the weather. It hasn't rained everyday but with the apps and everything people look at now, it's just thrown a few people off and it's certainly not what it should be.

"In the last couple of years, we've been a bit spoilt, people haven't gone abroad as much. Last year was obviously, really good. This year with the weather, it's not helping and with what's going on in the world as well, I think the people that are here are being more careful. So, I think it's just life in general at the minute - everyone's finding it tough."

He added that this season is really important to them:

"From that first week in November, till March, we don't take a penny. So, we've got to get it in now, not just to cover the costs now but to keep the park going and to set us up effectively for next year.

"Without a good summer, the whole year is ruined basically."
