Businesses across Lincolnshire and Newark stand by for Chancellors budget later today
Many of his measures have already been revealed
Businesses across Lincolnshire and Newark already know much of what's in the budget ahead of the Chancellor's announcement.
There's been some concern over measures like the increase in the minimum and living wage from a few local firms.
We spoke to David Gray, Associate Economics Professor at the University of Lincoln who feels the wage rise will help fill the record number of job vacancies.
He told us a number of companies are already increasing salaries to help retain staff.
He said "wages are rising to try and attract workers too".
Professor Gray also feels the contribution of NHS workers at the "sharp end" really "must be recognised".
He feels not to do so would have a knock on affect on staffing levels in the health service.
Meanwhile we also spoke to Dr Stephanie Aiken, Operations Manager at the Royal College of Nursing for the Humber region.
The Chancellor has already pledged 5-point-9 billion pounds to clear the current backlog and waiting lists.
But Dr Aiken doesn't feel it'll be enough.
She says "we need to ensure we get the right workforce in place."
She's concerned a lack of investment will lead to many staff deciding to leave the profession.
Newark MP Robert Jenrick feels the Chancellor is well aware of the need to address issues amongst more "modest" incomes.
He says Rishi Sunak will have think carefully about that group with inflation rising and higher energy prices.
