Today marks the return of supporters to Blundell Park for Grimsby's opening game of the new season - after the pandemic's kept them away for a year and a half.
Last weekend's National League fixture at Bromley had to be postponed because a number of players tested positive for coronavirus.
But today the players are finally back in action against Weymouth on home soil and Mariners CEO Debbie Cook says they can't wait, "Our players are back in training. We're still carrying a couple of injuries but we are feeling in a really positive place
"Obviously we're really excited as a club about getting back and playing at Blundell Park. It's been over 500 days since we've had fans in the ground.
"We've got over 4,000 fans already coming today, and we want to thank them for their loyal support. We've got a couple of thousand free Grimsby Town scarves, a new music compilation, a couple of Facebook live interviews and all that kind of stuff."
There will be precautions in place because of coronavirus Debbie says, "We all know that Covid is still very real and very much out there.
"Our fans don't need to wear facemasks when they come back into the ground.
"But if they want to we'd encourage that - we've allocated some socially distanced seating for fans who do want to be a bit more cautious."
