Hospital bosses in Lincolnshire say one year on from seeing their first Covid 19 patients and it’s now vital that exhausted NHS staff start to get some time off.

The Trust has treated nearly 3,000 patients since the start of the pandemic putting huge pressure on hospital workers.

Andrew Morgan is the Chief Executive he says they’re due a break.

He's planning to ensure that staff do now take time off over the next few weeks.

Mr Morgan has described the efforts of his staff during the pandemic as "fantastic".

He recognises their commitment and realises the toll it's taken on them over the last year.

Meanwhile plans to bring services at Grantham Hospital back to pre Covid levels have been given the go ahead.

It was turned into a Covid free site last year at the height of the first wave, with changes seeing several services diverted to other hospitals and some cancelled altogether.
