A Lincolnshire Charity say it's heart-breaking to hear about the families who can't afford basics
As the cost of living continues to rise - more families in Lincolnshire are simply running out of money to pay for nappies, prams and even clothes
We're hearing how more desperate parents across Lincolnshire are struggling to afford basics for their children- like nappies, prams and even clothes. Sue Bain runs the "Little Treasures" Baby bank in Horncastle who give out essentials to families who are struggling. But as the cost of living continues to rise - she says they're getting more and more calls for help.

Little treasures baby bank in Horncastle gives out donated supplies like nappies, prams and clothes.
Sue Bain runs it and says they're seeing a rise in the number of desperate parents turning to them for help:
"Over the last 2-3 months we're starting to notice again, it's going up and I think that will only get more and more over the winter particularly. Things like winter coats and shoes and stuff cost a fortune, and if you can't afford to feed your children you can't afford to buy them a lovely winter coat. So, we're going to see more and more of it, I think."
Sue runs the service out of a warehouse, with one other colleague. Having set it up in 2019, they continued serving throughout the pandemic and are continuously taking donations.
Sue tells us more about those that do donate:
"Certainly, the people that donate to us, they are so generous, and we get the most beautiful, high-quality, brand-new stuff. We've had travel systems and prams that have obviously hardly been used, and the majority of people say, 'I just want it to go to a good home' You know, they don't want to put it on Ebay and get a few pounds for it, they want it to go to a good home, they want it to go to people they know will use it."
The Little Treasures baby bank works entirely on referrals, often sent through by social workers, midwives and other authoritative figures.
