Police have launched a murder investigation

A nine year old girl has died from what is believed to be a stab wound in Boston.

Police were called to Fountain Lane around 6.20pm earlier this evening (Thursday 28th July).

Officers have launched a murder investigation - they say a cordon is in place in the area and that they expect to be at the scene for some time.

The girl's parents have been informed and are being looked after by specially trained officers.
