A 5 year old boy's been hurt after being hit by an E Scooter in Grimsby reportedly being ridden by a man in a pedestrianised zone.
The youngster was taken to hospital with face and leg injuries following the incident last Monday on Victoria Street.
He's now recovering at home.
The boy's said to have been very shaken.
It's prompted police to issue a warning about the use of E scooters.
Humberside police say "Our colleagues at Safer Roads Humber continue to remind people of the law surrounding the use of e-scooters and we would remind people of their statement, “Whilst you can legally buy an e-scooter, it is against the law to ride your own scooter on the road, cycle lane or pavement.
“If stopped by the police, they could seize the e-scooter & you could get a fine and points on your driving licence.”
Be aware that privately owned scooters are restricted for use solely on private land with the permission of the land owner.
It is illegal to use a privately owned e-scooter on pavements, cycle paths or roads.
