It's after reports of a man being hit with what's believed was a metal pole

5 men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Skegness

It follows what police are describing it as an incident on Roman Bank.

Today officers have revealed last Wednesday evening around ten o clock they received a call from a member of the public who saw a man being hit with what they thought was a metal pole.

The victim who's a man in his 30s suffered potentially life changing injuries.

Police want eyewitness accounts or dash cam footage

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Now 5 men, aged 19, 23, 26, 28 and 29 have been arrested.

They've since all been released on bail while investigations continue.

Police say:

We are now appealing for information and are seeking dash cam footage and/or eyewitness accounts from the centre of town, including areas such as Roman Bank, Lumley Road, and Grand Parade, between 10pm and 11pm.
