34-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Lincoln

A man in his 60's is being treated for life-threatening injuries in hospital

A 34-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a reported altercation in Lincoln, which left a man with multiple wounds needing hospital treatment.

Officers went to Kenner Close yesterday afternoon (Sunday 7th August) to reports a man in his 60's had suffered what had been described as stab wounds. The exact cause of the wounds is under investigation.

The man is now in hospital for injuries that are believed to be life threatening.

Officers will remain at scene this morning to carry out further enquires - the woman arrested remains in custody

Lincolnshire Police have said:

"We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident, and we would ask people not to speculate about the circumstances and allow officers the time to investigate this thoroughly.

"Specially trained investigators, response officers and forensic investigators will remain on the scene for at least the next 24 hours while they carry out initial enquiries.

"We would like to appeal to anyone who may have information about the incident to get in touch and help us piece together what has happened. Any piece of information, no matter how big or small, may prove crucial.
