It’s the 20th Lincoln Sausage Festival
This year has even more to offer including a spicy sausage beer
Lincoln sausage festival is back, celebrating 2 decades of the event!
There’ll be stalls of food and drink, plus cooking demonstrations, and live entertainment in the castle grounds through the day.
It's also an rooted in showing off Lincolnshire suppliers, who'll be selling their produce to the ten thousand people that are expected to attend.
Mark Brewer is from the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia, who organise the event and tells us more:
"It was initially a service to the city, you know it was saying to the city let's celebrate something from the county so that's where it all came from, and it's grown from there. From having 8 stalls to this year, I think we have 35 stalls."
During the day, there will be cooking demonstrations, food stalls and plenty of children's entertainment.
Mark added that it's full of fun:
"We've also got of course the most famous attraction of them all, Mr and Mrs Sausage. They symbolise the event, they are the flagship of what the event is now. And obviously, all of the stallholders will be there selling their hard-worked, and hard-crafted produce. Which without them there wouldn't be the festival that we manage to put on."
The event will take place from 10:00 o'clock to 17:00.
Chef Rachel Green will be hosting live demonstrations throughout the day.
Live music will be provided by the Cosmic Sausages, who will be bringing their unique and quirky sense of humour to the festival, and there's lots more to look out for.
