A 16-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a serious assault in Boston.

It happened over the weekend and left a man in his forties in a serious condition in Frampton.

Police received a call from the ambulance service at 5.30am on Sunday (25th June) saying a man had been injured at an address in Middlegate Road West, Frampton, in Boston.

Officers found the victim had suffered several puncture wounds and was treated at the scene before being transferred to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 41-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

While an 18-year-old woman arrested and released on bail has been re-arrested in connection with this incident

All three people remain in custody.
