A van's reportedly hit a pedestrian in Immingham.

A 19-year-old man has been taken to hospital for injuries which are thought to be life threatening.

It happened yesterday evening just before 9pm on the B1210 Habrough Road between the junctions of Brocklesby Avenue and Calder Close (Tuesday 30 January).

A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink, driving whilst unfit through drugs and causing serious injury by careless driving.

He remains in custody.

Police are appealing for witnesses:

"We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or has CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist with our enquiries to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 482 of 30 January.

"Alternatively you can report information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
