A pedestrian has died following a collision in Immingham which reportedly involved a van.

It happened on Tuesday evening just before 9 o clock on the B1210 Habrough Road, Immingham between the junctions of Brocklesby Avenue and Calder Close.

A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries but later died.

34-year-old Daniel Johnsen of Ashtree Close in Immingham has been charged with driving when above the alcohol level limit. He has been remanded into custody.

Police say as part of their enquires a mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).

Humberside Police have said:

"Our investigation surrounding the collision is ongoing and we continue to appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time or has CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist with our enquiries to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 482 of 30 January. "
