Man suffers life threatening injuries after reported stabbing in Grimsby
It happened last night
A man has suffered 'life threatening injuries' after a reported stabbing in Grimsby.
Detectives were called out to Boulevard Park in the town around 9.45pm last night (9th June). It's believed the man was stabbed close to Duke of York Gardens near to Richard Street.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment for stab wound to his side and back.
Police say they believe it to be an 'isolated incident'.
Inspector Gary Johnson leading the investigation said:
“I understand nature of this incident it will be concerning to the local community; however, I want to offer my reassurance that whilst we are at the early stages of our investigation, we believe this to be an isolated incident between individuals known to each other.
“A scene guard was in place at Boulevard Park, whilst officers conduct lines of enquiry to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those involved.
“There will continue to be a high policing presence in the area throughout the day and into the evening. I would encourage anyone with information, or anyone with concerns, to please come and speak to us.
