Woman dies in Blackburn car park collision
Accident happened this afternoon in the Morrisons car park
Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following a fatal collision in Blackburn.
We were called to the first floor of Morrisons carpark at 2.28pm today (24th May) following reports a black Honda Jazz car had collided with a pedestrian.
Emergency services have attended and found a woman in her 60s with a number of serious injuries. She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Our thoughts are with her loved ones at this incredibly distressing time.
An area of the carpark has been closed off.
The Force is aware of people at the scene filming the aftermath of the collision on their mobile phones. They ask that they do not circulate that footage as it would be incredibly upsetting for the woman’s loved ones.
