Woman (81) dies after being hit by double-decker bus in Preston

Police want anyone who saw the collision to come forward

An 81-year-old woman has died after being hit by a double-decker bus in Preston.

Emergency services were called to Sherwood Way, Fulwood, at around 1:40pm yesterday (Monday 14 November).

She was taken to hospital with serious injuries and passed away last night.

Police are urging any witnesses to get in touch.

Sgt Rob Prescott, of Lancashire Police's Tactical Operations Unit, said:

"Our thoughts are very much with the victim's family at this time. If you saw what happened, or if you have any dashcam camera footage which could help us, please come forward."
