Woman dies after falling from bike in Grange-over-Sands

A woman who was injured after falling from her bike in Grange-over-Sands has died.

Cumbria Police have started an investigation into her death just under a month after the fall.

The woman had cycled from the Lakes, through Cartmel and over to Grange when the accident happened on the 31st of July.

Police say she was with a man and passed away from the injuries she suffered.

They're keen to find out more about the fall and want to hear from anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage or who might have seen what happened.

Police are appealing for witnesses or CCTV/Dashcam footage after a woman sadly died from her injuries after falling from her pedal cycle on Grange Fell Rd, Grange-Over-Sands on Monday 31 July 2023 at around 10:15am.

The woman was riding in company with a man, and they were on touring-style bikes with several large, red panniers on both bikes.

They travelled from the Lakes area through Cartmel and over to Grange.
