Students at Blackpool Sixth Form College have released their own special Christmas single.

Talented teachers and creative kids has composed and produced the song called ‘A Christmas Miracle’.

It's got a serious message behind it though, with the aim to raise awareness of childhood poverty.

That's particularly relevant in Blackpool where the number of youngsters living in poverty - more than 30% is much higher than the national average of a fifth.

Several schools from across the Fylde Coast joined in to help record the song, which is now available to download on iTunes, Amazon and Google.

It's already doing really well on both. It's in the top 25 downloads on the iTunes chart and among the top 3 best sellers on Amazon today, who've also listed the track as the hottest new release of the day.

And their #bethemiracle twitter campaign has received support from a host of stars from Coronation Street, as well as Bolton comedy legend Peter Kay.
