Wanted sex offender from St Anne's, could be in Cumbria
James Atkinson has been missing since he didn't turn up to court earlier this month
Lancashire Police have launched a renewed appeal for information to find wanted sex offender James Atkinson, who we believe is in Cumbria.
Atkinson failed to turn up at a sentence hearing at York Crown Court earlier this month, with the court issuing a warrant for his arrest.
The 57-year-old, of St George’s Road, St Annes, has been convicted of rape, indecent assault and sexual assault.
He’s described as 5ft 8in tall, of heavy build and is balding.
Following enquiries, police believe Atkinson has travelled to Cumbria, with information he was in Bowness-on-Windermere, Windermere and Kendal this week.
Atkinson has links to Blackpool and Yorkshire.
