Two arrested over attempted murder in Chorley

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, after a man in his thirties was left with severe head injuries in an attack in Chorley.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, after a man was left with severe head injuries in an attack in Chorley.

The pair, aged 23 and 33, and from the town, are now in custody.

Police were called to the Royal Mail offices at Chorley East Business Centre at around 1.50am.

The victim, who's in his 30s, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Three men were seen walking away from the area just after the time of the assault and police are keen to speak to them.

DI Jane Webb from Chorley CID said: “This has happened in the early hours but hopefully someone will have seen something.

“This investigation is much in its early stages and we are on with our initial enquiries.
