Tributes paid by family of biker who died in collision

Tributes have been paid by the family of a man who died following a collision in Chorley.

52 year old Scott Ashton, sadly died after the bike he was riding lost control close to the entrance with Astley Park.

His family said:“Scott was a much-loved Father, Brother and Uncle and was also a good friend to many. Scott had a big heart and was always happy to help anyone. We are devastated by this sad loss and will miss him deeply.

“Many thanks to the emergency services who worked speedily to ensure he had the best possible chance of survival. And to each and every member of staff and medical professionals, doctors at the Royal Preston Hospital for informing us every step of the way, allowing such a large family to be with him under difficult circumstances xx

Sgt Laura Kendall, of our Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “First and foremost, my thoughts remain with Scott’s family at this difficult time.

“We are continuing to appeal for information or footage that could assist our enquiries into the collision.

“If you witnessed the collision, or saw the motorbike prior to the collision, please get in touch.”
