Three charged with murder following death of man in Blackburn

A Home Office Post Mortem examination concluded that Paul died from a single stab wound

Police in Lancashire, investigating the death of a man in Blackburn, have charged three people with murder.

The force were called at 3:40am on 22nd June, an address on Peridot Close in Blackburn.

Officers found 37-year-old Paul Scott unresponsive.

He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

A Home Office Post Mortem examination concluded that Paul died from a single stab wound.

The force says it is being treated as an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the wider public.

A 24-year-old man, a 43-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman were all arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday morning (22 June).

Liam Donlin, 24, of Lynwood Avenue, Darwen, Joanne Maxwell, 43, of Lynwood Avenue, Darwen and Amie Clegg, 21, of Lynwood Avenue, Darwen have all since been charged with murder.

They have been remanded to appear before Blackburn Magistrates Court today (25th June).

“Three people have now been charged with murder in connection with Paul’s death, but our investigation is very much ongoing.
