Thousands of Blackburn Rovers fans have taken to Twitter to protest against the club's owners.

Thousands of Blackburn Rovers fans have taken to Twitter to protest against the club's owners.

More than 32,000 tweets have been posted using the hashtag "Venkys Out" and it's been trending number one worldwide overnight.

The fans say they've taken to social media to send their protest message directly to India.

The club are currently without a manager after Paul Lambert walked away at the end of the season.

Lambert said the reason he left was that he had different aims to the owners.

The campaign started at around 7.30pm on Tuesday evening and fans have taken part in a mass tweet protest using #venkysout this luncthime.
