Teenager dies after crash in Claughton-on-Brock

It happened on Garstang Road on Wednesday afternoon

A 17 year old boy has died after a crash involving a car and bike in Claughton.

Emergency services were called to Garstang Road at just after 2pm on Wednesday, after receiving reports of a collision involving a Toyota Aygo and a Lexmotor 125 motorbike.

The rider of the bike was rushed to hospital, where he later died.

Police say his family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Sgt. Phil Baxendale, of our Roads Policing Unit said: “First and foremost, my thoughts remain with the loved ones of the rider of the motorbike at this incredibly distressing time.

“We are continuing to appeal for witnesses, and any dashcam or CCTV footage you have of Garstang Road around the time of the collision. If you are able to assist our enquiries, please get in touch.”
