A teenager has been left critically injured after a crash between two vans in Preston.

Emergency services rushed to Tramway Lane in Bamber Bridge at around 1pm yesterday afternoon following a collision involving a Nissan Cabstar and a Vauxhall Vivaro.

The driver of one of the vans, a 19 year old, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries where he remains critically ill.

The driver of the other van, a man in his 40s, as well as a teenager suffered minor injuries.

An investigation is now underway by Lancashire Police, and they are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them.

Detective Sergeant Joseph Ghigi, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This collision has left a young man very poorly in hospital and my thoughts are with him and his loved ones at this time. I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this collision or who has any dashcam or mobile footage, to get in touch.”
